Shrieve has had a long and interesting career as a rock drummer, percussionist, and progressive electronic composer. Gaining early realisation as the powerhouse drummer for Santana, the teenage Shrieve was launched into the popular culture vortex when he performed an lengthened drum solo during Santana's appearance at the fabled Woodstock festival. Over the geezerhood, Shrieve has continued to reach for innovational approaches to percussion-based music.
